Cannibal Adventure : ウィキペディア英語版 | Cannibal Adventure
''Cannibal Adventure'' is a 1972 children's novel by the Canadian-born American author Willard Price featuring his "Adventure" series characters, Hal and Roger Hunt. It depicts an expedition to New Guinea in search of such exotic creatures as Komodo dragons, bandicoots and dinosaur lizards, Hal and Roger sail for New Guinea, an island still inhabited by headhunters and cannibals. In the dense jungle many dangers await them but they face fewer threats from the cannibals than from an old enemy who has escaped from jail and is bent on having his revenge on them. ==Legacy== English author Anthony McGowan, who revived the ''Adventure'' series in 2012, has cited ''Cannibal Adventure'' as "a particular favourite" of the original books.〔Anthony McGowan, ("Anthony McGowan's top 10 global adventures" ) ''The Guardian'', 5 July 2012. Retrieved 20 November 2015.〕 He writes that "although there is a certain amount of racial stereotyping," Willard Price "actually treats the indigenous Papuans with great respect."
